MEW
Features
Achieving low cutting force, even with a negative insert, comparable to a positive insert.
Achieves a maximum A.R. of +10°. Kyocera's unique molding technology reduces cutting force. Cost-effective with a double-sided, 4-corner design.

High chatter resistance enables an excellent surface finish.
High chatter resistance and burr suppression due to the optimal design of the helical cutting edge and A.R.

New PR18 series. Achieving significantly longer tool life
The newly developed proprietary coating MEGACOAT NANO EX achieves long tool life. "Double lamination technology" that laminates two types of special nano-layers in multiple layers further improves toughness, achieving both high levels of wear resistance and fracture resistance.

Recommended cutting conditions

The bold values in the cutting conditions indicate the center of the recommended cutting conditions. Adjust cutting speed and feed within the range according to the actual machining conditions. For the MEW type, wet machining is recommended for Ni-based heat-resistant alloys and titanium alloys. For the MEWH type, wet machining is recommended for stainless steel, Ni-based heat-resistant alloys, and titanium alloys.
